2nd International Congress
This congress aims to bring together, in order to exchange knowledge, researchers that have worked on the origin, evolution and use of birds by man, as an alimentary source, as thematic in arts and in mythology. It’s addressed above all to palaeontologists, prehistorians, archaeologists, archaeozoologists, biologists and historians. In spite of being a congress of scientific nature, it’s also facing the participation of students and, by its scope, is also open to interested and curious about this issue who want to deepen their knowledge.
This congress, organized by Centro Português de Geo-História e Pré-História, at the National Library of Portugal, is divided into general sessions, with chronological and evolutionary orientations, and into thematic sessions, with a more specific character. Simultaneously, there will be a program of cultural events which will be disclosed in due course.
The official languages of the congress will be Portuguese, Spanish and English. Oral communications in French and Italian will also be accepted, provided these presentations supply texts in one of the official languages.
